General-Purpose fuses have no time-delay and protect fuse panels, appliances and branch circuits. Cartridge fuses are used to protect motors and branch circuits where higher amps or volt ratings are required. General-Purpose fuses have no time-delay and protect fuse panels, appliances and branch circuits. They have a minimum 300 V rating and are available up to 60 A. All SC fuses are 13/32 in Dia with varying lengths to provide a rejection feature that helps prevent over fusing (installing a 30 A fuse in a 20 A circuit). One half to 6 A SC fuses are fast-acting, while 7 to 60 A SC fuses are time-delay to permit temporary overloads to pass without nuisance openings.

Cartridge fuses are used to protect motors and branch circuits where higher amps or volt ratings are required. General-Purpose fuses have no time-delay and protect fuse panels, appliances and branch circuits. Bussmann series Fusetron cartridge fuses are 23% more energy-efficient and offer the ideal time delay performance. Their dual-element feature allows closer sizing to load for excellent protection of motors and transformers. These Class RK5 fuses with a 200 kA interrupting rating can be used in a broad range of applications. When sized correctly, they help protect motors from burnout caused by overloads or single phasing. The time delay feature allows the initial startup current surge for typical motors to pass, but opens prior to motor burnout when longer, dangerous overloads are present. In addition, the dual-element design opens in as little as 0.004 secs if the fuse experiences short circuit conditions. All fuses are UL listed Class R (IR: 200 kA). Groove in end cap or notch in knife blade permit the fuse to be used in only Class H, Class K or Class R fuse blocks. Will hold an overload which is five times greater than the ampere rating of the fuse for a minimum of ten seconds. 250 V maximum. UL listed, CSA Certified. A NO.263 reducer installed on the fuse permits it to be installed in a 60 A fuse block. Reducers are particularly useful when equipment is being converted. Proper protection can be maintained without the expense of replacing the fuse block. Cartridge fuses are used to protect motors and branch circuits where higher amps or volt ratings are required. General-Purpose fuses have no time-delay and protect fuse panels, appliances and branch circuits.
